Clay C. Sabourin serves the Firm’s clients as the newest associate in our Cincinnati office, joining our team full-time after serving as a law clerk during his legal studies. Clay was amongst the first class of aspiring lawyers to take part in the Firm’s inaugural Summer Associate Program. Prior to being a part of the Firm, Clay interned for Judge William O. Bertlesman in United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.
Entering law school on a merit scholarship, Clay graduated summa cum laude and ranked in fifth in his class at Salmon P. Chase College of Law. In his time at Chase, Clay served as Vice President of the Chase Military Law Society, Associate Editor of the Northern Kentucky Review, and Lead Notes Editor of the Northern Kentucky Law Review.
Clay was awarded a “CALI Excellence in the Future Award” for achieving top marks in legal drafting (litigation). He is also a published legal writer, penning an article on Ohio political statement laws that was published in the Northern Kentucky Law Review.
