Frank Madia joined the Rolfes Henry team in 2020, relocating to Orlando after more than two decades of practice in insurance defense, personal injury, and property subrogation in New York, and after working for a number of years as staff counsel for a national insurance company. Over the last twenty years, Frank has also obtained substantial experience in insurance coverage matters, business litigation, and real estate transactions, allowing him to represent a wide array of clients on a myriad of legal issues.
Frank is a 30-year veteran of the New York Air National Guard, where he served as a Staff Judge Advocate before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2017. Following the terrorism attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001, Frank served as a JAG Legal Advisor to the 9-11 Commission, preparing and assisting military personnel in relation to Commission interviews. Between 2002 and 2020, Frank served the Township of Frankfort (New York) as an elected Town Judge, presiding over civil claims, landlord-tenant disputes, domestic violence cases, and traffic violation matters. Frank has also served as an adjunct professor at several colleges, including Utica College of Syracuse University in New York.

Frank has 30 years of experience in the New York Air National Guard serving 16 of those years as a Judge Advocate (JAG). Frank served as the JAG Legal Advisor during the 911 Commission Investigations preparing unit members for the 911 Commisison Investigation Interviews and providing legal assistance to members during the interview process. Frank retired as Lt. Colonel (0-5) in January 2017.
Frank has also served as a local Town Justice in Frankfort, New York from January 2002 – August 2020. Frank presided over vehicle and traffic, criminal, town ordinance, small claims, civil landlord-tenant, domestic violence and family court related matters.
Frank's experience as an Associate Trial Attorney with a primary emphasis on insurance defense will be most useful in our firm. He also served as a staff attorney for an insurance company, with a primary emphasis on handling insurance coverage issues involving environmental claims such as asbestos, mold and fuel oil discharges.
He also have significant experience handling 1st party property subrogation claims by pursuing recoveries in both litigated and non-litigated matters.
