Jonathan Lanesky joined Rolfes Henry in 2018, and serves the firm’s clients from our Michigan office.
A graduate of The American University and Michigan State College of Law, Jonathan’s 19 years of private and in-house practice has centered around insurance and healthcare law with an emphasis in medical liability. Jon devotes a substantial portion of his practice to representing providers and healthcare facilities in medical malpractice lawsuits.
Additionally, since 2015 Jonathan has been actively involved with the developing field of medical marijuana law, advocating for the rights of patients, caregivers, and emerging canna-businesses under the Michigan Marijuana Act and the Medical Marijuana Facilities Licensing Act.
To enhance his private law practice, Jonathan has expended considerable time and resources to better understanding the insurance industry by working as in-house counsel for a Risk Retention Group and as the Vice President of Marketing and Claims for Professional Casualty Association while that insurer was becoming an admitted carrier in the State of Michigan. This broad-based understanding of the business side of the insurance field provides Rolfes Henry clients with a strong competitive advantage when significant corporate considerations are at stake.
Jonathan, his wife, and their two children live in Michigan. When not practicing law, Jonathan spends much of his free time golfing, playing hockey and spending time with his family.
