Erica Arend joined Rolfes Henry in 2020 and brings her substantial portfolio of both courtroom and private practice experience to our Sarasota office.

For the first fifteen years of her 25-year career, Erica served as a prosecutor for the State of Florida, handling hundreds of bench trials, more than four dozen jury trials, and hundreds of evidentiary hearings in state courts. After transitioning to a private civil practice, Erica built on that trial experience and developed additional expertise in both first- and third-party property and liability matters, representing insurers, third-party administrators, and insureds throughout the State.

Erica practices in both federal and state courts throughout Florida with an emphasis on insurance matters, including insurance bad faith litigation. Additionally, her civil litigation experience has also included hundreds of fire losses, sinkhole claims, hurricane and wind-related losses, and water losses of all varieties. She also has handled numerous appeals before the appellate courts of Florida.

Erica earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a minor in Fine Art from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, and obtained her law degree from the University of Florida in 1994.
